APL Logistics names new Vice President for Contract Logistics

APL Logistics, the global supply chain services provider, today named David Frentzel its Vice President of Contract Logistics. Frentzel, a 25-year veteran of international logistics management, will be responsible for the company’s warehousing, deconsolidation and distribution.
“We’ve hired a professional with strong background in our core markets – Asia and the U.S.,” said Jim McAdam, President of APL Logistics. “With his skill and experience, he’s the right person to help us grow the Contract Logistics business.”
For the past five years, Frentzel has worked for DHL Supply Chain and Exel Inc. in Japan and in the U.S. Prior to that he spent four years with Manugistics and 11 years in supply chain consulting.
In his new role, Frentzel will have operational responsibility for APL Logistics’ global Contract Logistics Services in the Americas, Asia, and Europe. He’ll also be responsible for new business development.
“Our goal is to grow this business,” said Frentzel, who will be based at APL Logistics’ Americas headquarters in Phoenix, Arizona. We’ll do that by refining and expanding our service offerings and improving the already outstanding service we provide to customers.”
APL Logistics is among the top five managers of warehousing space in the U.S. It has a developing Contract Logistics business in growing markets such as India and Latin America.
