APL Logistics is against wasting natural resources and we make every effort to conserve them. We place a high value on encouraging our staff to operate in an environmentally responsible manner, and we develop programs to help customers be more sustainable through our initiatives.
These programs include:
Optimizing shipment routes and the overall logistics network to reduce our customers' carbon footprint
Modal conversion opportunities to utilize greener transport modes such as sea compared to air, and rail to road
Partnering with underlying carriers that have environmentally friendly fleet operations
Developing analytical tools such as carbon calculators and dashboards that help customers quantify the benefits of sustainability efforts
Reducing energy consumption and general waste throughout our operations
Recycling of packaging materials
APL Logistics and its parent company, NOL, have taken a step towards a more sustainable future by publishing its first Sustainability Report. The report shares the activities and performance of the NOL Group's safety, security, environmental and community programs.
APL Logistics is committed to Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR). We share the CSR philosophy of NOL, our parent company. We have well-defined corporate-wide programs for responsible citizenship, based on sustainability, philanthropy and volunteerism.
The group concentrates its community relations efforts on five distinct areas of activity:

As part of the NOL Group, we believe in responsible corporate citizenship and set out to do business with partners who share similar values. NOL’s Vendor Code of Conduct articulates legal, ethical and moral standards expected of its vendors and business partners. It is a set of principles and a minimum standard of conduct for vendors to conduct their business activities in full compliance with applicable laws and regulations of their respective countries and operating locations.
