Mr. Gene Seroka Mr. Seroka is widely recognized for his expertise in the supply trends in North America and its global implications. His insights into port trends and conditions, logistics, and global trade will undoubtedly provide valuable perspectives. He is the Executive Director of the Port of Los Angeles, the busiest container port in North America. Since his appointment in 2014, he has achieved record-breaking performances for the port. As a global trade expert, he advocates for trade agreements benefiting American exporters. Under his leadership, the port has set numerous cargo records and achieved significant milestones. Seroka has received multiple awards and recognition for his leadership in the maritime industry. He played a crucial role in maintaining cargo flow during the COVID-19 pandemic. Seroka manages a substantial budget, oversees major projects, and promotes sustainable practices. He has also served on federal committees to improve cargo movement and supply chain optimization. Seroka was President, American President Lines (APL) Limited, Americas before his appointment on his current role. and he holds an MBA and a Bachelor of Science in Marketing. Mr. Hector Carmona Hector Carmona is the President of CARMI Logistics, a position he has held since May 2019. With over 11 years of experience in account development, brand management, and client relations, Hector has a proven track record of success. His main responsibilities include identifying and understanding manufacturers’ needs in North America to build successful supply chain strategies in Mexico. Hector has held various roles at CARMI Logistics, including Sales Director, Compliance Director, Customs Broker, and Transportation Specialist. He is a member of several industry organizations, including the Mexican Foreign Trade Council Northeast, the Association of Laredo Forwarders, the Association of Nuevo Laredo Mexican Customs Brokers, and the Queretaro Logistics Cluster. Hector holds a degree in Business Administration from the Centro Universitario Especializado en Negocios and the University of Texas San Antonio. He is also a US Licensed Customs Broker and a Mexican Accredited Customs Broker. |
Mr. Han Shen Lin Han Shen Lin is the China Country Director at The Asia Group. Based in Shanghai, Han works in close coordination with TAG’s Washington, DC-based China Practice to lead the firm’s local presence and engagements in China, drawing upon nearly 20 years of in-country experience in China’s financial markets and corporate strategy. In addition to his role at TAG, Han is also an Associate Professor of Practice in Finance at NYU Shanghai where he teaches undergraduate, graduate and executive-level courses.
