Meet Our Executive Leadership Team

Thad Bedard

President

As President of APL Logistics, Thad is responsible for global commercial, financial, and operational activities. Prior to his role as President, he served as SVP, CCO, VP of Strategy & Marketing, Director of Strategic Accounts, Commercial Head of SCS Group, and North America Retail Head.

Takayuki Maruyama

Chief Financial Officer

As Chief Financial Officer, Maruyama is responsible for leading the global finance, treasury, accounting, and global support service functions in APL Logistics. Maruyama has been with APL Logistics since 2016. During his 25-year career with KWE, Maruyama took on multiple stints globally. His last role was as the Deputy Financial Officer of KWE (China) Co. Ltd.

Fabio Duque

Chief Commercial Officer & Chief Operations Officer for the Americas & EMEA regions

As CCO and COO for the Americas and EMEA Regions, Fabio is responsible for enhancing efficiency, cost control, and profitability through better technologies, systems, and processes across the network. He has served in several roles at APLL, most recently as APLL’s Regional Vice President for the Americas and Regional Vice President for Latin America. Prior to joining APL Logistics, Fabio earned his Master’s Degree in Logistics from the University of IECAT Brazil and holds a Mechanical Engineering Degree from FEI Brazil. He currently serves as a Board Director for the Chilean Logistics Association (ALOG).

Waldo Basilla

Chief Commercial Officer & Chief Operations Officer for the Greater Asia Region

As CCO and COO for APLL in the Greater Asia region, Waldo oversees the region’s commercial strategy, development, and implementation. He is also responsible for deploying operational strategies designed to improve the APLL product, enhance efficiency, and improve costs by leveraging better technologies, systems, and processes. Prior to his current role, Waldo held senior leadership positions both outside and within APLL. He is currently based in Singapore.

David Glauber

General Counsel

As General Counsel for APL Logistics, David leads the global legal department. He provides direction and guidance to management on internal and external legal and business matters. David is a supply chain, logistics, and transportation attorney with senior leadership experience at several major logistics providers before joining APL Logistics. David is a graduate of Georgetown University Law Center and the University of Washington and holds a Certificate in Political Studies from the Institut d’études politiques de Paris (Sciences Po).

Maggie Owens

Chief Human Resource Officer

As CHRO, Maggie leads the APL Logistics’ global HR team, providing leadership and direction to management for all People, HR, and Employee engagement matters. Before joining APLL, Maggie had 38 years of experience in the logistics and transportation industries, leading HR teams across Europe, the Middle East, India, and Asia for a top 100 employer – most recently as the VP of HR Northern, Central, and Eastern Europe & Regional Diversity Officer. In addition to her HR expertise, she has run large operations, both domestic and international.

Hakan Yaren

Chief Information Officer

As Chief Information Officer of APL Logistics, Hakan is responsible for leading the global IT teams. He is an IT veteran who has held executive leadership roles in technology, strategy, M&A, product development, and professional services in industries ranging from logistics to manufacturing and software development for over twenty years. Hakan was educated in the US and Turkey and holds two degrees in Industrial Engineering from Istanbul Technical University and an MBA from the University of Memphis.

Tim Paguio

Vice President of Strategy & Capital Investment

Tim Paguio leads enterprise strategy, capital allocation, and investment governance at APL Logistics. He works closely with executive leadership on long-term planning, growth initiatives, and capital prioritization. With a background in corporate strategy and financial analysis, Tim applies disciplined frameworks to evaluate returns, scalability, and risk. His role provides stakeholders with rigor around investment decision-making and alignment between capital deployment and value creation.

Matt Gunn

Vice President Global Marketing & Communications

Matt Gunn leads global marketing, brand strategy, and corporate communications at APL Logistics. He brings deep B2B marketing and reputation management experience within complex, global organizations. With a background in supply chain and logistics software and technology, including GT Nexus (now Infor Nexus), LLamasoft, and OpenTrack, his work supports commercial growth, customer engagement, and brand credibility. Matt ensures clarity and consistency in market-facing communications, reinforcing trust with customers and stakeholders while aligning external messaging with strategic priorities.
