Our Strategy
Establishing Our Baselines
In January 2022, we began working with NSF Consulting Services to track key environmental indicators across the hundreds of global warehouses and offices where we have operational control.
Using site-level fuel and energy usage, we established our Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions baselines. We also identified the applicable Scope 3 categories and began collecting the data needed to calculate our broader emissions impact.

Setting Our Goals
With the help of our external consulting services team and an Environmental Defense Fund fellow, we used our 2022 baselines to derive absolute reduction goals for 2030. In 2023, we submitted these goals to the Science-Based Targets initiative (SBTi), which were accepted in April 2024, adding APL Logistics to SBTi’s roster of committed companies.
