APL Logistics was launched in the U.S. in 1980. Throughout our history, APL Logistics has been an industry innovator. In 2011, we introduced the first 1,000 containers dedicated to U.S. domestic transportation. 2008 saw the introduction of APL Guaranteed™ Continental, a guaranteed Full Container Load (FCL) solution offering day-definite delivery throughout the U.S. In 2006, we introduced the industry’s first guaranteed Less than Container Load (LCL) / Less than Truck Load (LTL) service, offering door- to-door delivery from key ports in Asia to the U.S. Our expertise in key industry verticals includes automotive, where APL Logistics teamed with Fujitrans Corporation of Japan in 1987 to create Vascor Ltd., a 3PL dedicated to service the specific needs of the global automotive industry. Of particular note is our comprehensive NAFTA intermodal solutions, established through years of experience in the automotive industry. Our expertise also include retail, consumer packaged goods, high-tech and more general commodities.
