President, APL Logistics
Bill has been with APL Logistics since 1984. As President, he is responsible for global commercial, financial, and operational activities. Prior to his role as President, he served as the global leader for APL Logistics’ Automotive vertical, and the regional leader for the North America. Bill holds an MBA in Finance from the University of California, Berkeley and a B.A. in Political Science from Washington University in St. Louis.
Chief Operations Officer / Senior Vice President, Greater Asia
As Chief Operations Officer Danny is responsible for enhancing efficiency, cost control and profitability through better technologies, systems and processes across the network. In March 2018, he was also appointed Senior Vice President, Greater Asia covering North Asia, South Asia, and Southeast Asia. Danny has held leadership positions in APLL since 2010. He graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Finance from the University of Oregon.
Chief Financial Officer
Maruyama has been with APL Logistics since 2016. Prior to joining APL Logistics, he took on multiple stints globally in his 25 years career with KWE. His last role was as the Deputy Financial Officer of KWE (China) Co. Ltd.
As General Counsel for APL Logistics, David leads APL Logistics’ global legal department. He provides direction and guidance to management on both internal and external legal and business matters. David is a supply chain, logistics, and transportation attorney with senior leadership experience at several major logistics providers before joining APL Logistics. David is a graduate of Georgetown University Law Center and the University of Washington and holds a Certificate in Political Studies from the Institut d’études politiques de Paris (Sciences Po).
Chief Human Resource Officer
As CHRO, Maggie leads the APLL global HR team – providing leadership and direction to management for all People, HR, and Employee engagement matters. Before joining APLL, Maggie had 38 years of experience in the logistics and transportation industries, leading HR teams across Europe, Middle East, India, and Asia, for a top 100 employer – most recently as the VP of HR Northern, Central, and Eastern Europe & Regional Diversity Officer. For 25 years, she has lived in various parts of Europe and Asia. In addition to her HR expertise, she has run large operations, both domestic and international.
Chief Information Officer
Hakan is an IT veteran and joins us from the ABB Group where he has served as VP Business Unit CIO/Strategic Programs. For the last 20 years he has held executive leadership roles in Technology, Strategy, M&A, Product Development, and Professional Services in industries ranging from logistics to manufacturing and software development. Hakan was educated in the U.S. and Turkey, he holds two degrees in Industrial Engineering from Istanbul Technical University and an MBA from the University of Memphis.
Senior Vice President, Retail
As Senior Vice President of APL Logistics’ Retail vertical, Tony is responsible for the strategic development, growth and profitability of APL Logistics’ Retail logistics business worldwide. Tony has been a part of the APL Logistics team since 1988, during which time he’s worked in both Asia and North America, overseeing international air and ocean freight forwarding, origin consolidation, and destination/deconsolidation services. Tony holds a Bachelor’s degree in Liberal Arts from University of Connecticut.
Michael C. Pilver Jr.
Vice President, Automotive
As Vice President of the Automotive vertical for APL Logistics, Mike is responsible for the strategic development, growth and profitability of the automotive logistics business worldwide. He has been with APL Logistics since 2001 and has over 35 years of experience in premium transportation, automotive logistics and global supply chain services. Mike is a graduate of the Auburn University business school, Ohio State University’s Logistics and Supply Chain Services program, as well as an executive learning program provided by the Rizzo School of Business, at the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill.
Regional Vice President, North America
As APL Logistics’ Regional Vice President for North America, Graeme is responsible for business and operations across the U.S. and Canada. He has over 30 years of experience in the logistics industry and has held many roles throughout the U.S. and Europe, including site operations and business development. Graeme has lived in North America for 20 years, he holds a B.A. (Honors) from De Montfort University in Leicester (UK).
Regional Vice President, Latin America
As APL Logistics’ Regional Vice President, Latin America, Fabio is responsible for business and operations across Mexico and Latin America. Prior to joining APL Logistics, Fabio worked with CTI Logistics and gained extensive supply chain management experience from leadership roles in international services, logistics engineering, distribution, and inventory management. Fabio earned his Master’s Degree in Logistics from the University of IECAT Brazil and holds a Mechanical Engineering Degree from FEI Brazil. He currently serves as a Board Director for the Chilean Logistics Association (ALOG).
Regional Vice President, North Asia
Based in Hong Kong, Paul is APL Logistics’ Regional Vice President, North Asia. He is responsible for business in mainland China, Hong Kong, Macau, Taiwan, Japan and Korea. Prior to his current role Paul held various management roles within APL Logistics, managing International Logistics, Contract Logistics, and Managing Director of Central & North China. He is highly regarded in the industry for his expertise. Paul holds a Computer Science degree from the University of Western Ontario, Canada and possesses a Diploma of Management Studies from Henley Management College of U.K.
Regional Vice President, South Asia
Based in Gurgaon, India, Umesh is responsible for the business and operations across Bangladesh, India, Pakistan and Sri Lanka. He was also the Managing Director in APL Logistics VASCOR Automotive and was initially appointed Chief Operating Officer upon the company’s incorporation in 2012. Umesh has extensive experience in the field of CBU transportation, terminals and container transportation. He holds a MBA in Management Studies from Delhi University and a BE in Mechanical Engineering from Delhi College of Engineering, India.
Loh Chun How
Managing Director (Vietnam, Cambodia, Myanmar)
Chun How has been Managing Director of APLL Vietnam since 2018 and expanded his scope to cover Cambodia and Myanmar in August 2020. Chun How started out as a Management Trainee in NOL Group 22 years ago, and had diverse roles in Operations, IT, Corporate Sales & Marketing, Strategic Planning and Asset Management. His experience also includes more than 15 years of postings in emerging cities in China, Myanmar and now Vietnam, at various leadership positions. He holds a B.Soc.Sci (Hons) degree in Economics from National University of Singapore, a mini-Masters from Erasmus University Rotterdam, and a mini-MBA from Singapore Management University.
Chief Commercial Officer
As CCO Neil oversees APLL’s global commercial strategy and development. Prior to his current role, he held senior leadership roles in the supply chain and logistics industry and has qualified as a Chartered Accountant with KPMG. Over his career, Neil has lived and worked in three continents and is originally from the UK – he is currently based in Seattle, WA.

Prior to his current role as SVP, Thad held roles as CCO, VP of Strategy & Marketing, Director of Strategic Accounts, Commercial Head SCS Group, and North America Retail Head.
Vice President, International Order Management & Forwarding Services
Anthony Tay has been with APL Logistics since 2005 and has served in various roles including Country Manager, Vietnam. During his time in Vietnam Anthony helped to accelerate growth for APLL in the region, and led efforts to construct one of Asia’s largest CFS facilities serving a variety of Retail and Consumer customers. Prior to APLL, Anthony worked with several 3PLs and freight forwarders across Asia and hold a B.A. in Supply Chain Management from Curtin University, Australia.
