Customer Advisory: Update 2 – Canadian Labor Strike Announced

On Tuesday afternoon, June 4, labor negotiations between the International Longshore & Warehouse Union Canada (ILWU) and the British Columbia Maritime Employers Association (BCMEA) came to an impasse. The ports of Prince Rupert and Vancouver are expected to face a prolonged strike, which is projected to cause significant supply chain issues for Canadian imports and exports.
