Customer Advisory: Typhoon Wipha In Vietnam

APL Logistics wishes to provide an update about Typhoon Wipha, which is expected to make landfall on Vietnam’s northeastern coast today, Monday, July 21, 2025.

Please note that operations at both of our CFS warehouses in Hai Phong—Pan Hai An (PAN) and GLC— will be suspended at 12:00 PM today, Monday, July 21, 2025 until further notice to prepare for the typhoon’s impact, instead of at 5:00 PM as stated in our previous advisory.

We are closely monitoring the situation and will keep you informed of any further developments that may impact our services.

APL Logistics wishes to inform you about Typhoon Wipha, which is expected to make landfall on Vietnam’s northeastern coast on Monday, July 21, 2025.

In anticipation of Typhoon Wipha’s impact, the Hai Phong Port Authority has sent out an official notice (Letter No. 1687/CVHHHP-PCTT&TKCN) regarding operations and vessel anchoring, instructing all container vessels operating in Hai Phong area to complete cargo handling no later than 10:00 AM of July 21, 2025. As a result, ports may suspend receiving export containers after this time.

So far, the following ports have sent out official announcements to suspend receiving export containers:

  • HICT: from 06:00 AM July 21, 2025 until further notice.
  • HATECO: from 06:00 AM July 21, 2025 until further notice.
  • Nam Dinh Vu: from 12:00 PM July 21, 2025 until further notice.

In addition, both of our CFS warehouses in Hai Phong—Pan Hai An (PAN) and GLC—are expected to be affected by the typhoon. Accordingly, we will suspend operations at both warehouses at 05:00 PM on Monday, July 21, 2025 to prepare for the typhoon’s impact. As a result, please note that shipments with delivery plan to PAN and GLC during July 21, 2025 to July 23, 2025 may be impacted.
